Android users may now play Fortnite on Xbox Cloud for no cost and without a membership.

Although there is one issue, cloud gaming has been a fantastic way for everyone to find and play new games without downloading them. There aren’t many free-to-play games available in any form on the cloud. With the free, no-membership-required release of Fortnite to the cloud today, Xbox hopes to change that.

Xbox has generated some buzz in the worlds of traditional PC gaming and online gaming. The Microsoft-owned company’s Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate are both popular services that let users play as many games as they like as long as they pay the monthly subscription. Free-to-play games frequently don’t appear on streaming platforms like Google Stadia and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate because it doesn’t make much financial sense. It requires a lot of work and typically doesn’t result in any financial gain for the streaming provider to add a free-to-play game to a cloud gaming service.

That appears to be changing now. Xbox is making Fortnite available may play in the cloud without a subscription online thanks to a collaboration with Epic Games. On their iOS, Android, or PC device, players merely need to have a Microsoft account and a steady internet connection. As follows:

On your device, go to Use your Microsoft account to log in. Locate Fortnite and select Play.

After that, your browser will switch to fullscreen mode and send you to Fortnite. You don’t have to connect a controller if you don’t want to because touch controls are supported, though we highly advise it. It doesn’t appear like there are any time restrictions on playing. As a result, you can sit back and play for hours on end without interruption.

According to Xbox, they intend to add more free-to-play games to Xbox Cloud Gaming in the future, with Fortnite being the logical starting point.
