Google TV is introducing a new Watch with Me row on the homescreen as part of its ongoing series, this time highlighting selections by musician Andra Day.
Singer, composer, and actress Andra Day is best known for her song Rise Up. In the movie The United States vs. Billie Holiday, she also played Billie Holiday.
Focus is placed on films and television programs with diversity in Google TV’s most recent Watch with Me list.
Despite her more recent foray into acting, Andra has always been intrigued by the power of cinema to inspire and make everyone feel represented. You know, watching hard movies, especially when it’s not your perspective, she says, helps you develop your capacity for love and empathy. I believe that seeing tough movies simply improves us as individuals and as a society.
The following is included in Days’ comprehensive Watch with Me list:
San Francisco’s final black resident I Could Ruin You Veneno Ray The USA versus Billie Holiday Precious Clueless Gangs of New York Get Out Lovecraft Country The City of God Will See Blood The Purple Colour Moonlight Charlotte’s Angels What Does Love Have to Do With It?
