Being able to manage your lights with your Galaxy S22 is no longer a remarkable achievement. We like that the smart house is becoming more commonplace. In an upcoming upgrade to Samsung’s SmartThings, Phillips Hue lighting will receive special built-in compatibility, enabling you to view content on your Samsung TV while letting your Hue bulbs match the show’s colors.
In general, we view Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Apple Homekit as the three main smart home control apps on a regular basis. For Galaxy customers who don’t want to utilize Google Home on their Galaxy smartphones, Samsung’s SmartThings offers a fantastic alternative. Fortunately, SmartThings and Samsung’s Android skin have excellent integration. You can connect a huge variety of compatible smart home devices devices, including many Samsung appliances, speakers, and Philips Hue lamps.
SamMobile reports that Samsung is getting ready to offer a particular kind of assistance for Phillips Hue Sync, the program that enables you to integrate your TV’s media with your lights. By doing this, your lights can reproduce the colors seen on the screen and produce a stunning entertainment center.
With Phillips Hue lighting and just about any current TV, this is already achievable. Just an Phillips Hue Sync Box is all that’s required to establish a reliable connection between your lighting setup and the TV’s media. Unfortunately, the cost of that box is about $250.

Philips Hue Sync is now supported by Samsung as well. Users will be able to do this to have their Hue smart lights flash, dim, and brighten in time with the TV program.
Since we haven’t had a chance to test the new upgrade yet, we are unsure of how it will function with the expensive bulbs. According to what we can discern, the latest SmartThings upgrade may only be able to control bulb brightness, which is a significant disappointment if accurate. The next update is scheduled to release in August following the unveiling of Samsung’s newest product lineup.
