In Windows 11, Microsoft is testing a new widget that will display content that is accessible with a PC Game Pass subscription.
Although the Game Pass widget is only available in the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25174 (Opens in a new window) , it appears likely that it will soon be added to all Windows 11 systems.
By tapping the widget button on the taskbar or by using the Win W keyboard shortcut, widgets are tiny windows that display live information on your desktop. The most recent game additions, games that will shortly be departing the service, and featured gaming categories will all be displayed on the Game Pass widget.
If you come across something you like, simply click the widget to open the Xbox software, where you can download and set up games. That is, of course, providing that you have registered and a PC Game Pass account.
It is necessary to access the widgets board, click the icon next to your profile, then click it again next to the new Game Pass option in order to make the Game Pass widget visible in the preview build. In order to keep its content current when you view it, the Game Pass widget will then start to dynamically update itself on your board.
