Prepaid is more competitive and just more 'honest'. Contract carriers use all kinds of tricks to gouge their customers: overages, ETFs, hidden fees, mandatory data charges to name a few. I currently use NET10 prepaid and have a monthly cell expenditure of $15 to $30. Compared to my previous cell bill of $55+ it's quite the savings! What really tickles me is why contracts are still the 'normal' way for people to get a cell. Just plain stupid! Just makes more sense to go prepaid nowadays.
