Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review Part 1 by Aaron Aaron reviews the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, one of the tablets coming out this year. It offers a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core CPU, 10.1-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera, front-facing camera, and Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). Better yet, it's thin and light, leading many to consider it as the prime competitor to Apple's iPad 2. It's not available in the United States at the moment, but should make waves when it lands next month. Is it the best tablet amongst hot devices like the Motorola XOOM, LG G-Slate, and BlackBerry PlayBook? We'll find out. Will AT&T get T-Mobile? pdog.ws Aaron reviews RIM's newest device, the BlackBerry Curve 9360, which is available at T-Mobile now (in black). It packs an 800 MHz processor, 2.4-inch display (which isn't a touchscreen), 5-megapixel camera with flash, a full QWERTY keyboard, and BlackBerry 7. It's an upgrade from previous Curve devices, but it's painfully behind its mid-range competitors. Those that message a lot will like having a physical keyboard, but if media and apps are what you enjoy, you'll want to look elsewhere. Part 2 of 2. Will the Galaxy S II get Ice Cream Sandwich? pdog.ws We've waited, waited, and waited some more, and roughly seven months after the international announcement, Samsung's Galaxy S II series has arrived in the States. Coming on October 2nd, AT&T's version is the Galaxy S II, and it offers a 1.2 GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (480x800 pixels), 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a front-facing camera for video calling (and the occasional self portrait), and Android 2.3.4 with Samsung's TouchWiz 4.0. It's top-notch in every spec category, much like the HTC EVO 4G was when it launched last year. Yes, it's the must-have Android device, but it's coming out right before the announcement of the next iPhone. Can it get enough of a following (and fast) to gain some traction in the US mobile market? Part 2 of 2. BlackBerry Torch 9810 Review Part 1 by Aaron The BlackBerry (r)evolution is upon us! Aaron takes a look at the BlackBerry Torch 9810, one of the new BlackBerrys announced and a nice addition to AT&T's smartphone lineup. While BlackBerry 7 - RIM's latest version of their mobile OS - is very similar to past builds, the Torch 9810 packs improved specs like a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.2-inch display with improved resolution, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, and a physical QWERTY keyboard. Smartphone diversity is great, and the Torch 9810 is a great replacement to the aging Torch 9800. Still, will it sell well given the iPhone 3GS' price point? We'll find out. Part 1 of 2.
